MOTOR
PATROL Bill Hayes founded the Hella Temple Motor Patrol in 1967. Since that time, the Motor Patrol has won 15 first place honors during the annual Texas Shrine Association competition. The Unit has also won two first place honors at the Imperial Council Session competition. The Motor Patrol is the only Unit in the United States to win the Grand National Competition. During 1973, the Unit was invited to perform at the Court of Saint James in London, England. The Unit currently consists of FLHTCUI Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Shrine Edition Motorcycles along with several other Harley Davidson Models. The focus is two-fold: first, the camaraderie built around the respect for the love of riding motorcycles, and secondly, the continued support for Shriner's Hospitals for Children. Members of the Motor Patrol ride as a unit in various local parades, grand openings, special civic events and the Shrine Circus to support Hella Temple and Shriner's Hospitals for Children. The unit takes pride in its annual "Street Rod, Classic Car and Bike Show." All porceeds generated from this event go for the support of Shriner's Hospitals. Our members are a Unit devoted to safe riding while promoting family values, support for our American Flag and strong citizenship.
